INTRODUCTION
Since the opening of our restaurant in 1991, Claudia and I, supported by my parents Anna and Mariano, have been welcoming guests to Corona. This small village in the heart of the Isontino area, a stone’s throw from Collio, is very lively and unexpectedly popular for the hospitality of its people and its excellent wines.
Completely renovated in 2006, the restaurant still retains its rustic characteristics with a family atmosphere in a well-kept setting
Our cuisine is basically home-cooking. can find traditional Friulian food, recipes from the Marche region and food with a Mediterranean’s inspiration.
Since opening, all kinds of pasta have always been homemade by Anna: gnocchi, tagliatelle, pappardelle, lasagna, ravioli, … the bread too is homemade.
Raw materials are carefully selected according to seasonality and mostly locally sourced. The wine list includes wineries from our area with a few extra-regional digressions.
With the purpose of remain linked to the tradition, we also wanted to keep alive the tavern at the entrance to the restaurant, with its typical haunts.
From here there is access to two rooms with a communicating fireplace where about forty people can be seated.
In warm weather it’s possible to eat in the garden located in an inner courtyard.
We will be happy to share our experience and passion with those who have the curiosity to visit us.
